We appreciate and support our members and plan to spotlight one member throughout Kosciusko County each month. The Clearly Kosciusko Member Spotlight is a way for our members to highlight their organization and for us to show how much we appreciate their participation.

The Clearly Kosciusko member we’re shining the spotlight on this month is the Lake City Skiers Water Ski Show Team, Indiana’s only competitive water ski show team, and a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization.

If you’d like to have your business or organization featured, consider joining Clearly Kosciusko.

About The Lake City Skiers Team

As our state’s only competitive water ski show team, the Lake City Skiers provide free water ski shows for the public at Hidden Lake in Warsaw. The ski team was established in 1989 and has won four Division II Championships over the years.

The ski shows are thrilling themed productions that include music, costumes, and an announcer to help the crowd understand what they’re seeing take place on the lake. Shows last about an hour and include extreme jump acts, a ballet line, barefoot water skiing, swivel skiing, double routines, human pyramids, and more!

Supporting Our Local Community

Lake City Skiers attract crowds from across the entire state of Indiana, as well as from Michigan, Ohio, and Illinois. The team also hosts tournaments, bringing teams from across the country to Kosciusko County.

The ski team is proud to partner with a variety of local organizations and businesses, including local marinas, Bart’s Water Sports, the Kosciusko County Convention and Visitors Bureau, The Boy Scouts of America, as well as local police, fire departments, EMS, and the mayor’s office.

Why Clearly Kosciusko?

“Part of our mission statement is to promote the sport of water skiing and safe boating. The Lake City Skiers have become a major tourist attraction for Kosciusko County and with Clearly Kosciusko promoting our lakes community, it made sense to become a member.”

Chuck McLaughlin, Vice President of Lake City Skiers

Lake City Skiers are working on beginning their usual Tuesday and Sunday show schedule once Indiana state guidelines clear them to reopen. The skiers will also be hosting the 2020 Division II National Show Ski Tournament on August 1-2.
