Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce Provides Resources To Help During The COVID-19 Outbreak

Friday, May 1, 2020

Over the past month, we’ve all seen how the COVID-19 outbreak has impacted our community here in Kosciusko County. While it can be easy to focus on the negative, the Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce has been working hard to highlight the positive things still happening in our county.

The Chamber has been regularly sharing updates using their social media channels and other resources to try to keep local businesses informed about the latest resources available.

If you’re not following them on Facebook yet, make sure you check out their page.

Resources Highlighted By The Chamber

COVID-19 Local Business Updates

Everyone is relying on curbside pickup options, reduced store hours, and delivery options from our local businesses. But it can be difficult to figure out which businesses have these options and which ones have closed until the COVID-19 crisis has passed.

Because of this, the Chamber created a local business resource where you can find all that information in one place! If you don’t see your business listed, be sure to complete their form and be added to the comprehensive list. Access local business updates here

Reliable CARES Act Information

With new information about the response to COVID-19 coming out nearly every day, the Chamber wanted to make sure local businesses and country residents have an easy way to access accurate information during this crisis. Get small business resources related to the CARES Act here

Community Needs

From schools to community services and the people they serve, many individuals and groups in Kosciusko County need help during this time. The Chamber created a dedicated place on their website where you can see the needs of a variety of local businesses and organizations.

Whether it’s volunteering, making a donation, or helping coordinate an increase of WI-FI needs for schools, you can find a way to help. See how you can help your community here

Regular Blog Updates

If you want to see what’s happening in our local business community, you can always check out the Chamber’s blog. Recent posts include an announcement of a childcare pop-up for essential workers, payment protection loan resources, and statements about how Kosciusko County is handling the COVID-19 outbreak. Facebook Groups

In addition to resources highlighted through the Chamber’s website, they have created groups on Facebook to help community members find restaurants and other services within Kosciusko County during this time. The “To Go Kosciusko” group now has more than 9,700 members with people sharing the best takeout, curbside, and delivery restaurant options throughout the county. Join the To Go Kosciusko group here

The “Support Kosciusko” group is set up similarly to the “To Go Kosciusko” group, but it is for non-restaurant businesses. Members of the group share information about local businesses that are still open and offering services and products during the COVID-19 outbreak. The goal of the group is to help our community continue to support local businesses and organizations. Join the Support Kosciusko group here

We’re proud to have the Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce as a member of Clearly Kosciusko. They’re one of the many organizations working throughout our county to unite the community during the COVID-19 outbreak and we appreciate all they do.
